Internationally accomplished entrepreneur with extensive MNC, SME & Start-Up experience spanning multiple B2B & B2C solutions, products & services. 20 Years of senior experience, 12 Years as Director and has served as Interim Director to 15 start-up enterprise spanning CRM, Marketing, Security, Finance, Apps, Education, Wi-Fi, Project Management, Retail & Hospitality. Nigel has been responsible for creating over £100m in new revenues for these businesses and today holds two Directorships and is a Founding member and Managing Director of UniPreneurs UK Ltd.
Andy has over 30 years business experience specialising in all matters strategic: from business, marketing, brand and communications. He has held marketing positions at Cadbury, Gillette, T.M.Lewin, where he was Global Marketing Director, and he has held senior General Management roles at Ogilvy & Mather, Lintas, D’Arcy and TBWA\ culminating in becoming Regional President of D’Arcy running the International division consisting of over 100 offices, 1,100 staff and over £100 million in revenue.
Andy has lived and worked in the UK, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, South Africa and Hungary. He is considered a true Internationalist. He has managed key Global brands across the world for companies such as Unilever, P&G, Tom Tom, Philips, and American Express, to name just a few.
He founded his own advertising agency in South Africa, a marketing consultancy in London, and has launched a multitude of brands for his clients. He has served a three-year term as Non Executive Director for the charity Women for Women International
Sofia is unipreneur's Digital Manager and keeps our followers, friends and connections all up to date with enterprise and entrepreneurial articles and news. Sofia is also one of our student ambassador currently in her second year at the University of Birmingham studying Biomedical Science. She currently enjoys writing for a student healthcare magazine and likes spotting dogs and making a fuss about them.
Aristos is a specialist in the combined areas of digital technology and early-stage equity investment. Having undertaken EIS investment and the management of the London chapter of a Silicon Valley angel investment network, he now works with other investors and investment funds to locate and develop promising tech startup propositions, to create commercial strategies via equity investment. He has been active within corporate finance on larger deals requiring blended finance. Additionally, he manages the Digital Venture Capital Association (UK) and offers advice and mentoring to some of the UK’s accelerators (Seedcamp, Microsoft Accelerator & Oxygen). This means Aristos has broad relationships within the tech community and understands and recognises a viable business plan when it’s presented. Today Aristos is also focused on the investment and data analysis tools of D-Risk It; the tool and analysis process on which our SIRT process is based on.
Richard has utilised his many years of operational, in-depth procurement knowledge, business strategy and general management experience to help build and run several successful businesses. Richard has held senior roles in retail and food distribution at SafeWay, 3663, the Compass Group and was Managing Director of a global procurement and sourcing company responsible for over £3 billion per annum in sourced goods and materials for their FTSE & Fortune 500 client list.
With a career spanning energy trading, procurement and IT services, Simon is an expert in devising commercial strategies to help organisations deliver fast revenue growth and profitability. Simon has also worked with VC backed businesses that led to several being successfully sold into FTSE companies. An accomplished leader and entrepreneur Simon is currently Co-Founder of BrightSourced Procurement Group who work with large private and public sector organisations to reduce operational expenditure. Currently BrightSourced save over £70m every year for their clients.
With almost forty years’ experience as a fully qualified chartered accountant Andrew is the head of one of Cheshire’s premier accountancy firms. As well as managing his own business and providing accountancy services to over 150 organisations, Andrew also has been Finance Director to a selection of SMEs.
Simon spent nine years working with KPMG’s restructuring team where he led both formal and informal restructuring assignments including a year on secondment to Barclays Bank in its Business Support unit. With several Finance Director roles following his time at KPMG and extensive turnaround, investment and financial strategy experience, today Simon has his own financial consultancy working with Banks and within distressed organisations to create operational changes and efficiencies. As Unipreneurs’ Non Executive Director for finance, Simon plays a key role in shaping student and staff business plans and positioning them for the private investment markets. Simon holds law degrees and is a chartered accountant.
